At We Are, we believe that health data are more than just numbers. They tell a story about who you are, how you live, and what you value. When we bring those data together and share them responsibly, they can lead to insights that truly make a difference: for your health, your quality of life, and our society.

That is why we are building a new data culture. A culture in which citizens regain control over their data. Where data are shared on their terms: safely, transparently, with respect for privacy, and always with their consent. A culture where technology strengthens trust and encourages collaboration.

Our partnerships

From project to partnership

We Are began in 2022 as an innovative project supported by the Flemish government: the Department of Care, Digital Flanders, and the Department of Work, Economy, Science, Innovation and Social Economy. What started as an exploration of how to better use personal data has grown into a strong partnership between organizations that share one ambition: to return data to the hands of citizens and enable its responsible (re)use.

We Are makes it possible to share data in a safe and transparent way, giving citizens renewed control. This opens the door to personalized care, improved public services, and human-centered innovation. In this way, data become a driving force for societal progress.

Together with citizens, healthcare providers, businesses, knowledge institutions, and governments, We Are is working toward a sustainable and widely supported data culture in which technology contributes to the well-being of people and society.

Domus Medica

Scientific professional association for general practitioners: Domus Medica vzw represents the interests of general practitioners and general practitioners circles in Flanders on scientific, social, and professional levels. This is done through democratic decision-making and a strong scientific foundation. The organization promotes the development and implementation of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare and health policy. We do this through four main areas: support, representation, scientific research, and professional advocacy.
