Technical integration with We Are

Citizen authentication

Citizen authentication on the We Are platform is handled via ACM. Please complete the template and send it to We Are to request ACM access. The average processing time is approximately 2 weeks.

Process authentication

Typically, an application on the We Are platform consists of a frontend application (user interaction) and a backend application (interaction with We Are storage). Each application must be registered with the We Are Identity Provider (We Are IDP). Afterwards, the developer receives WebIDs, client IDs, and client secrets.

  • WebID: Applications are identified by a WebID document, hosted by We Are, which refers to an IDP.
  • ClientID: A unique URL generated by We Are and associated with the application.
  • Client secret: Each client ID has a corresponding client secret for authentication with the We Are IDP.

Whitelisting

As an extra security layer, Athumi manages an application whitelisting system based on WebIDs or client IDs. This whitelisting will be requested by We Are.
