Collaboration with Vitalink
Thanks to an ongoing collaboration between the Flemish Department of Care and the We Are consortium, a pilot project was set up to explore how citizens, via Vitalink and with their consent, can reuse certain health data—shared by healthcare providers such as general practitioners—in other applications. This concerns medically validated data, which is also accessible to citizens through platforms like MyHealth.be.
The Vitalink connector pilot explored how citizens can gain more control over their own health data, by using it—safely and in a controlled manner—in applications that are not directly connected to Vitalink.
